Wushu Taolu COACH SEMINAR - Saturday May 11th TORONTO

To ALL Coaches and School Owners and anyone interested in becoming a Wushu Taolu Coach,

You are invited to the WushuCanada Taolu Coach Training and Program Development Seminar scheduled for Saturday, May 11th from 5 pm until 9 pm at our headquarters in Scarborough, Ontario.

Your completion of this course will result in official WushuCanada Coaching Certification Level 1, as long as the other criteria of coach membership is met (i.e. police check, first aid). Participation fee is $50 for current WushuCanada members and $75 for non-WushuCanada members.

The seminar is to educate coaches on the new "In Pursuit of Personal Excellence: WushuCanada's Guide to Long-Term Athlete Development (LTAD)" which focuses on how participants and athletes are trained, develop skills and revolves around the essential role played by coaches in the process. Training the right components at the right stage of development is key to the success of all athletes from beginners to Olympians.

The goal is to help you become successful in developing your students, coaches and growing your business.

We will introduce the Six Stages of Long-Term Athlete Development and each stage will consist of the following subjects:

Philosophy
Objectives
Windows of Optimal Train-ability
Guiding Principles
Mission of the Coach
Taolu Specific Skills
General Skills
Training/Class Duration

You will also learn the first 5 achievement routines in the Panda Program (under 8 years old), review and learn the first two IWuF DuanWei forms, as well as discuss and practice various training techniques at the Panda level.

During the seminar we encourage your feedback, open communication and contribution to the evolution of Canadian Wushu.

We look forward to seeing you there and helping you succeed!
