2022 FISU Summer World University Games

The Summer World University Games takes place every two years in various cities around the world.  It is one of the largest summer multi sport events worldwide, second only in size to the Olympic Games.  The Games will take place over 12 days and will host 10k + athletes from more than 80 countries competing in 18 sports in 8 venues.  The 31st Summer World University Games will take place in the city of Chengdu, China from June 26-July 7, 2022.

Chengdu, also known as Rong (Hibiscus City), is the capital of Sichuan province, China and has a population of 16 million.  It is an emerging city in the world, as it serves as a national central city, in terms of economy, technology, culture, innovation and foreign exchange.  It is also the international hub for transportation and telecommunication.

All competitors must satisfy the following conditions:
a) Be a national of the country they represent
b) Be at least 18 and less than 25 years of age on January 1 in the year of the event
c) All competitors must complete the FISU Academic Eligibility Form. The original, hardcopy form must be
signed and sealed by the School Registrar and mailed to U SPORTS.

To guarantee your team’s entry into the 2022 event the following payments
must be made:
1. Non-refundable deposit of $600/participant must be received by January 31, 2020
2. Final payment must be received by December 1, 2021.
Total Cost excluding Airfare payable to USports via WushuCanada $4500.00 CAD
Includes: Meals / Accommodations / USports Participation Fee and Mission Fee
