The championships\, an event held every second year\, is the highest-level competitions in the world of Wushu. \nGet ready\, get set to qualify for the Canadian National Team! \n15th WWC Regulations\nWushu Taolu Competition Rules & Judging Methods \n\n\n\n\n15th WWC\n \n\nImportant Dates\n\n \n\n\n\n\n\nCompetition Dates\n\n\nPreliminary Entry Date\n\n\nFinal Entry Date\n\n\n\n\nOctober 20-23\, 2019\n\n\nAugust 1\, 2019\n\n\nSeptember 1\, 2019\n\n\n\n\n\n\nRegulations of Interest\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n1) Registration and Accreditation\n\n– III.B. Taolu\n“Two (2)competition bibs(20cm*15cm) for each athlete’s use will be provided by the Organizing Committee to Teams upon accreditation. All taolu athletes are required to have their competition bibs affixed to the back of their clothing before entering the competition arena.”\n\n– X.B. Compliance Requirement of Marketing and Advertising\n“All Teams must follow the IWUF Brand Control Guidelines regulations (see Appendix 1).”\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nStandards and Guidelines for uniforms of athletes\, coaches\, and team officials\, including for taolu and sanda events. Note that gloves and protective equipment manufactured by IWUF’s certified supplier(s)will be provided by the Organizing Committee.\n \n– X.C. Clothing Requirements for Opening/Closing Ceremonies\n“All Teams must wear their official national team uniforms at the Opening and Closing Ceremonies.”\n\n– X.D. Clothing Requirements for Awards Ceremony\n“Medalists are expected to attend the Awards Ceremony in their national team uniforms; however\, they are permitted to attend the ceremony wearing competition uniforms should the ceremony take place immediately after the competition. Athletes are expected to take off caps/hats during the ceremony. Athletes and officials are not allowed to take any religious symbols to or onto the podium.” Note that a sanda awards ceremony for a weight class will take place on the same day as the finals for that weight class\, regardless of when the finals for other weight classes take place.\n\n4) Sanda Weigh-ins\n\n– XVI. Weigh-in\nThe official weigh-in for all sanda athletes will take place at 07:00 on October 19th\, 2019. Furthermore\, sanda athletes must attend a weigh-in on each day they participate in competition (specific time and places for each weigh-in will be announced accordingly). Accreditation cards and passports must be presented at each weigh-in session. A sanda athlete’s failure to attend any required weigh-in will result in his/her disqualification from the competition.\n\n\n\n5) Supervisory Commission\n\n– XV\n\nIII. Supervisory Commission\n“A 15th WWC Supervisory Commission shall be established by the IWUF\, with the purpose of and the right to resolve any disputes or investigate any issues that arise during the course of the 15th WWC to ensure the smooth execution of the event.” For full details see section XVIII. of the regulations.\n\n6) National Federation Responsibilities\n\n– XXIV. Responsibilities of National Federations\n“NFs are responsible for their officials\, coaches\, athletes\, and observers adhering to the IWUF and WWC principles and to all relevant rules established by the IWUF and Organizing Committee. NFs should ensure that their participants hold themselves to the highest standards in all their actions during the event.” This includes the attitude of a federation’s athletes\, the image of the athletes\, and securing insurance for athletes.\n\n7) Creative Group Event\n\n– XXV. Creative Group Event\n“The Creative Group Event is a non-medal event\, and winners will receive certificates. The purpose of the event is to provide an opportunity for wushu athletes to push the limits of their creativity and display their unique talents\, demonstrating the beauty and distinctive visual appeal of wushu. The specific demonstration rules can be found in Appendix 6.\n\nEach Team may enter at most one (1) group consisting of four to eight (4-8) athletes (male or female) for the Creative Group Event. Specific requirements are as follows:\n\n\nThe duration of each team of the creative group event is set at three (3) minutes.\nEach Team must prepare their own pure music without lyrics and vocals. The style of music is not limited.\nThe choreography of the creative group event must incorporate the characteristics of wushu\, and the choreography must include solo wushu creative and/or two-person or three-person choreographed sparring (duilian) and/or collective wushu creative.”\n\n\nIWUF Wushu Taolu Competition Rules & Judging Methods (Excerpt) 2019\n\nJudges\n \n1) Composition of Judges Groups\n\n– Article 1\n“1. Judges Groups\n1.2. For each Field of Play with optional routine events and compulsory routine events with Degree of Difficulty (13 people in total):\n\n\nHead Judge x 1\nA Group (Quality of Movements) Judges x 3\nB Group (Overall Performance) Judges x 5\nC Group (Degree of Difficulty) Judges x 3\nRoutine Inspector x 1.”\n\nNote that the number of B Group (Overall Performance) Judges has been increased from 3 to 5.\n2) Head Judge\n– Article 2\n“3. Head Judge\n3.1. Is responsible for leading the judges’ refresher course and overseeing judges’ performance.\n3.2. May deduct points should a routine duration be under or over time and/or for choreography errors; May award bonus points for innovative Degree of Difficulty Techniques.\n3.3. Advises the Chief Referee to take disciplinary action against a judge who has committed serious errors.”\nNote that the Head Judge is neither a member of the B Group Judges\, nor may she/he adjust an athlete’s final score.\n\n\n\n\nAppeals\n\n \n1) Appeals Procedure\n\n– Article 14\n“1. Content & Scope\n1.1. Appeals may only be lodged with regards to C Group (Degree of Difficulty) appraisal\, routine choreography deductions\, or routine time limit issues.\n1.2. Appeals may only be lodged by team coaches or team leaders on behalf of their own team’s athletes.\n2. Requirements\n2.1. Each Team has the right to appeal at most two (2) times within a single competition\, and the content of each appeal may only address one item. 3. Procedure\n3.1. Should a participating team object to the judges’ appraisal of one of its team’s members\, the respective team leader or team coach may lodge an appeal by submitting it in written form to the Jury of Appeals within 15 minutes of the conclusion of the athlete’s routine\, together with an appeal fee of US$200.\n3.2. The Jury of Appeals shall immediately review and make an arbitration conclusion based on the content of the appeal\, and the judgment of the Jury of Appeals shall be final”\n\n\n\n\n\n \n  \n

As there are dozens of kungfu (traditional wushu) styles represented in the WKFC\, these championships offer a unique platform for thousands of practitioners of all ages and varying skill levels to come together every two years. At the WKFC\, mutual understanding is fostered through skill and cultural exchanges.\n\n\n\nIn the spirit of sport\, growth\, development\, and health are the core values of the event. The World Kungfu Championships provides a festive foundation for building connections and nurturing passion for the practice of wushu.\n\n\n\n\nThe 8th World Kungfu Championships\n \nThe 8th World Kungfu Championships (8th WKFC) will be held in Emeishan\, Sichuan\, China\, from June 14th to June 19th\, 2019\, and will feature hundreds of events for the 3000+ participants to take part in. The Organizing Committee will have a reception desk at the airport to guide Teams to take the high-speed train to the Emeishan station\, where there will also be a reception desk (travel from the airport to Emeishan station will be at the participant’s expense).\n\nBy train to Emeishan City\n\nLarge and medium-sized Chinese cities such as Xi’an\, Chengdu\, Kunming\, etc. have trains to reach Emeishan\, and the Organizing Committee will have a reception desk at the Emeishan railway station.\n\nTemperatures in Emeishan\n\nHistorical average temperatures for Emeishan in June range from 7-13 degrees Celsius (44-55 degrees Fahrenheit).\n\n– Passports and Visa Requirements –\n\nAll participants of the 8th WKFC must hold a valid passport and should allow plenty of time for visa application and processing. To ensure as few complications during visa application and travel as possible\, it is suggested that all participants’ passports are valid for at least six (6) months following their final day of travel.

DESCRIPTION:July 9-16\, 2018 — Brasilia\, Brazil \nThe 7th World Junior Wushu Championships (7th WJWC) is the official world championship event which is hosted by the International Wushu Federation. The World Junior Wushu Championships takes place biennially and is the official pinnacle junior championships of the IWUF and features its highest competitive level amongst its junior athletes.
